Hello all!
The latest release of Checkbox is available as Debian packages (in the
Stable PPA) and snaps (in the Stable channel)!
Thanks a lot to all the contributors for providing fixes, improvements,
and for testing the beta releases!
*Note about the version number*
*
*
We've updated our release pipeline to version the monorepo with a unique
version number (v2.4 for this release)
Both checkbox snaps and debian packages are following the same version
number as of now.
Release changelog are available here:

*
*
*Installation from the Stable PPA (Debian packages)
*
Information about the packages is available at:
https://code.launchpad.net/~hardware-certification/+archive/ubuntu/
To enable the PPA and install the required packages, run these commands
in a terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hardware-certification/public
sudo apt install canonical-certification-client
*Installation from the Stablechannel (Snap)
*
On Ubuntu Core, these Checkbox content snaps are automatically installed
by all the checkbox-<project> or the checkbox snaps thanks to the
content interface.
On other platforms, you will have to install them manually before
installing the checkbox-<project> or the checkbox snaps.
Please note that the checkbox snap comes for many different versions of
Ubuntu. Check the output of snap info checkbox to see what channel to
use. When used on the desktop, checkbox is provided as a classic snap,
so it has to be installed with the --classic argument. The default
checkbox snap points to the one for 22.04 desktop, so if you are running
a 22.04 desktop, you just have to:
snap install checkbox[16..22]
snap install checkbox --classic
But if, for instance, you're using Ubuntu 20.04, you will have to type:
snap install checkbox --channel=20.04/stable --classic
