Hello all!

A new release of Checkbox is available in the stable PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~hardware-certification/+archive/ubuntu/public
<https://code.launchpad.net/%7Echeckbox-dev/+archive/testing>

This release is the first being made available for Zesty (as well as
Trusty, Xenial and Yakkety).

It includes the following components:

   - checkbox-support 0.29
   - checkbox-converged 1.6
   - checkbox-ng 0.30
   - plainbox-provider-checkbox 0.33
   - plainbox-provider-resource-generic 0.30
   - plainbox-provider-certification-server 0.30
   - plainbox-provider-tpm2 1.1
   - Firmware Test Suite 16.11

New features

   - *Modification of graphics tests to check amdgpu-driven cards in a more
   suitable way:* With the new version of the Checkbox provider, if the
   tested device is using a discrete GPU using amdgpu drivers, some of the
   graphics tests will be skipped because they don't need to be run again.
   Namely, compiz-related tests (desktop display, screen rotation, etc.) are
   usually run by the integrated GPU. Since amdgpu drivers allow offloading
   GPU (i.e. activating the discrete GPU only for one given program), it is
   not necessary to run those compiz jobs on the discrete GPU as well.

   This is different from, say, nvidia drivers that require to manually
   switch to the discrete GPU then restart the session (in this case, compiz
   jobs need to be run on the discrete GPU as well).

   For more information, please check lp:1636060
   <https://bugs.launchpad.net/plainbox-provider-checkbox/+bug/1636060> or
   ask me directly :)
   - *New option in the [ui] section of the launchers:* You can now use the
   value `hide-automated` for the `output` parameter in your launcher, like:

   [ui]
   output = hide-automated

   This will hide the output of all the automated jobs ('shell', 'local',
   'resource', 'attachment' ones), but will still show the output of manual,
   user-verify or user-interact jobs. This is useful to still provide
   meaningful feedback for human testers without drowning them in technical
   output.
