suspected bug

All,

I am sure that this isn't the formal or usual manner in which to report
bugs but please bear with me.

I recently did a fresh install of Ubuntu 15.10. on a HP Pavilion 11 x360
and this includes checkbox-ng (0.20.1-1)

The machine suffers from regular "freezes" i.e. no response to any input
and the display is frozen.

I upgraded the kernel to 4.3.0-040300-generic in an attempt to resolve the
issue. No difference.

The last entries in the syslog file prior to the freeze are as follows:

If I am on the right track in identifying the culprit of the freezes
and if there is anything that I can do to assist - please advise.
