Hi
As a part of the story to clean up hardware certification tools
"project" I'd like to do this:
- use git
- put a new git repo up there (team owned)
- create a branch for each of the projects that exists as a branch now
- create a new master branch, with a new README file
- for each branch:
- merge it into master subdirectory
- see what it does, how well it is coded and add that to the top-level readme
- remove the standalone branch
- see what is using it, where is it deployed, who cares about the
results, etc.
- look at "usage site" (typically some server somewhere) and
convert it to use the git repo instead
By keeping this a git repo, anyone having the repository has automatic
access to all the branches and all the moving parts in one go. It is
also a nice experiment to see how native git on launchpad works like
for the rest of the team and perhaps a good target for the
tarmac-for-git that I'm working on.
Best regards
ZK
