[ANN] bzr-2.7.0 has been frozen!

The bzr source has been frozen in preparation for the release of
bzr-2.7.0.

Thanks to a lot of hard work on the part of Vincent Ladeuil, we are on
track to make the public announcement of the release of bzr-2.7.0 on
Fri 12 Feb 2016--in time to include it in Ubuntu 16.04 Long Term
Support release.

The tarball is presently available on the website.[0]

1.  All plugin authors are encouraged to update their code to work
with the new release.  bzr's public API has not changed.  Please reply
to this message with status of your efforts and compatible versions of
plugins.

2.  Platform maintainers, packagers, and installer builders are
encouraged to update their copy of bzr and prepare new releases to
coincide with the public release.  Please reply to this message to
tell which versions of which plugins are packaged.

Everyone, please feel free to help build packages for whichever
operating system you are interested in.
