Releasing 2.6 [Was: bzr-hookless-email doesn't work with bzr 2.6]

If we're going to make a release, it would be nice to flibble things
around so that 'branches' actually works with common supported
workspace configurations (well, or make common supported workspace
configurations something that works with branches, but that would be a
couple lines more changes).
