Thanks for your replies John and Brian. It does appear that bzr qlog with
multiple
branches as arguments are almost exactly what we're looking for.

The only thing that would improve on this is to restrict the output of the
graph such
that only branch-to-branch activity is displayed, and not intermediate
commits, but
the default output of qlog will definitely give us the information we need.
