For git, that’s wrong, it never stores differences.
On the other hand, it’s got a pack format, which
does, indeed, do delta compression between objects,
but that doesn’t regularily come into play, especially
not on the server side of a hosted repository.

Somewhat OT, but I’d really love if some of the (other, but
I didn’t want to write a mail with *only* that as content)
