I definitely think so.  Especially in the context of colocated branches
(or switching a lightweight checkouts between several branches), this is
a big downer.  But I think the issue there is not just directories but
files also: it's just worse with directories.

"bzr.transform.orphan_policy = move" sounds intriguing.  What does
it do?
