Hang at commit time when using sftp or bzr+ssh

One suggestion on the ControlMaster setting: Could bzr use the “-S none”
option when invoking ssh to disable connection sharing? This way, it will
not be depending on client settings.

Martin,

 

Did you mean ControlMaster auto? If so, I commented them out in my
~/.ssh/config file and the hang did not happen afterward. Thanks for
locating and fixing this issue.

 

However, I still see 9 left over ssh processes after my test. Is this an
expected behavior? If so, will the number of ssh processes keep increasing?
This could potentially be a problem for us because we will have a process
running continuously handling all bzr operations.

Thanks, Martin. I was able to get bzr 2.4.2; but python-bzrlib only has
2.4.1.

 

All our ssh configuration was the default setting and we never have problem
running ssh. Could you please be more specific?

You can get bzr 2.4.2 from the ppa https://launchpad.net/~bzr/+archive/ppa

I suspect you have ssh auto connection masters on, or some other ssh level
problem. Try running ssh by hand.
