I think I need to sort out this problem with the Mac installer
overwriting already-installed Qt libraries and breaking existing apps.
Bugs 698104 and 762864.

The simplest solution would be to make the Qt library component in the
installer optional so that people who know that they already have it
installed can just turn it off.

Alternatively, the installer could determine the version that's
already installed and only overwrite if the installer has a newer
version. On the other hand, that could break stuff anyway.

I don't know if it's possible to install a python app on Mac OS X such
that all its libraries are loaded from a private set of directories?
Like the Windows installer does it.

Ciao,
Gordon
