With a bit of extra support in a couple of private emails from John, I
got serve-branches working being booted up by /etc/init.d/loggerhead.
I'll report back feedback and any problems (none so far :-) direct to
John.

John had also suggested "bzr serve --http" but this doesn't seem to be
the way the standard Loggerhead distribution connects to starting an
instance at boot time. Currently the init.d script is tied to
serve-branches, I guess to avoid having to have Bazaar plugins set up.

I assume there should be a way of having an Upstart service handle this,
but for the moment the Loggerhead distribution ships with a init.d
script that starts serve-branches.

Thanks.
