For Ubuntu, there is the official Bazaar PPA at
https://launchpad.net/~bzr/+archive/ppa which supplies the latest stable
version of bzr itself, and many plugins ... though not currently fastimport.
/me goes off to figure out why we haven't included fastimport there yet...
(Or, any generic method for installing Python apps in a homedir should
work fine for Bazaar)
