Q: how to recover from `Generic path error: .... pack': Failure: unable to rename to ....` ?

Hi,
I'm occasionally getting the error, similar to:

Generic path error: 'os52gb1et8zi6kkuclqa.pack': Failure: unable to
rename to '../packs/ccfd8d322937a2aed9bd428a58251049.pack'
"
The error occurs during the branch push from one machine to another.
I'm wondering :
- What may be the possible reason for that? Is there any way to trace?
- What would be the proper and simpler way to recover from such situation?
