[ANN] bzr releases status

Hello all,

As my mentor kindly remarked I badly phrased my announces, so let me get
this straight: no release has occured yet, but code has been frozen
(gone gold) for our 2.0, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 series.

Packagersare currently hard at work so that packages and installers are
ready to use when we'll do the official announcement.

This mail has several goals:

- already thanks all people involved in making the releases packaged and
  ready to be tested,

- keep everybody aware about our progress towards the various releases,

- announce the availability of some packages and installers for
  *testers*. If you install them, be ready to report bugs if anything
  fail. If you're not ready, then please wait for the official
  annoucement,

- ask for feedback from packagers and installer builders that have not
  (yet) acknowledge the freeze announce,

- remind plugin authors that we are starting a new series (2.3) so they
  can prepare new releases for their plugins.

2.1.3 and 2.0.6

- SRU in progress for karmic-updates and lucid-updates

- if you need a stable update for windows or OSX and can't use the 2.2
  or 2.3 series, please reply to this mail explaining your use case.

ppa users
=========

- the bzr-beta and bzr/proposed ppas are targeting hardy, jaunty,
  karmic, lucid and maverick and provide an alternative to the SRUs with
  newer bzr versions. Feel free to test them too :)

In summary, whatever kind of tester you are, please have a taste of our
upcoming releases,
