Nested trees support

Hi,

I am working on setting up daily build PPAs for some upstream project.
The first step is to import the upstream vcs trunk branch. Sadly this
fails too often (e.g. vlc, xmms2), because nested trees are not
supported. What are the plans for supporting nested trees?
