Well, in principle, sure. But there's not even a port of it, and
aside from bzr I've never even heard of it, so that principle is a
long way from realization.
But anyway. Installing a few files of no utility is itself a bit of a
*shrug*, but

is the real kicker. Hardcoded paths are ugly already, but when
they're not in /usr/local/ all sorts of fires get lit under unlucky
maintainers who assume well-behavedness and don't notice the install
painting outside the lines :|
