strange permission denied erorr

This problem has the same root as 
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzr-explorer/+bug/550989

The message is harmless, but ugly.

I'm planning to disable comparing with parent branch for lightweight 
checkouts, because it's not safe enough. Maybe allow it only for colo: 
workspaces.

Converting to heavy checkout (or bound branch) will fix the "problem".
