Thanks Martin! I hadn't realized that. The intention was to have a
single history for the whole machine but I guess I could work around
that. I use bzr as a part of my sys-admin toolkit to version config
files etc. It is pretty uncommon to have something on /var which needs
versioning but today I did come across one file that did need it.
That's where I faced this bug. For my purpose there really isn't much
difference between files on /var and elsewhere.

Is there a reason why bzr won't version multiple Fs's? Or is it just a
low priority but. I tried  to read the bugreport but wasn't sure.
