At least in my opinion as a proponent of rebase, you are misrepresenting
the debate. Rebase is a good tool for *some* scenarios. How prevalent
those scenarios are is an orthogonal issue that must be considered on a
personal basis. So some people would use rebase often, and other people
maybe never would miss it.
