Bazaar still below the radar when evaluating VCS tools

I think you (as a development community) will hvae to spend a lot more 
effort
integrating it into common IDEs used in the enterprise vefore you will 
get much
traction.

I had a problem with bzreclipse which went unanswered for a while on 
here and then
a private message off-list that got me going - to which I replied to no 
effect. The mail
list for bzr-eclipse on launchpad is effectively closed to non-launchpad 
users.

I'm using it and its working but has some very rough edges relatng to UI 
and will
not win friends in a corporate eval - I guess it just needs polish and 
an appearence
of more active TLC.

I don't have any experience trying Bazaar with Visual Studio or the 
Oracle dev tools
but integration there will be a necessity too.

Few big companies (the sort that can afford Martin Fowler, anyway) can 
afford
to standardise on technologies that don't integrate well into a 
cross-platform env
and the existing toolsets - or which have weak access controls or process
controls, or which may focus on distributed development without having a 
strong
story for a central managed repository.
