Some feedback on colo plugin

I don't understand the last sentence.  pipelines and looms are
intended to *postpone* merges, or more generally to provide a
(limited) ability to edit the DAG.  Merging is a step in that process,
but conceptually lower-level.

I would say it looks more like git-rerere than pipelines/looms (but
not much :).

What am I missing?
