Okay, my thoughts so far is: snapshot should treat component branches as --append-revisions-only 
(ARO)kind of branches but check manually that every new revision is the successor of previous 
snapshotted one (continue the same mainline?).

I hope check for ARO in bzrlib is reusable. Need to check this.
