Riverbank only makes the most recent version available for download,
which makes life difficult for platforms which do not have a packaging
system that can retain older versions of PyQt. At the moment, for
building the Mac OS X installer, I have PyQt 4.6.2 and 4.7 downloaded.
If somebody could provide other versions in source tarball form, that
would be great for flexibility's sake.

To be honest, all this waffling about the PyQt version is pretty
annoying from a packager's point of view. It makes it very hard for me
to see which version I should be using.

I used 4.7 for the most recent Mac installer releases (2.0.4 and
2.1.0rc1). Should I be using 4.6.2? Please somebody tell me.

Thanks,
Gordon
