Why does "view" not allow wildcards?

I suppose wildcards should/could be quoted.

One thing that was mentioned in some design document is to assign
filenames to view through a file, something like  "bzr view
--name=myname --filter=myfilters.txt" (I don't remember the exact
syntax). That'd be useful, too.
