Well, that's quite interesting.

Some of them are real problems like repo formats and some ... might be
real but it's pretty strange nobody has reporting them.  Considering
the flow of bug data we get, if interrupting write operations killed
repositories, we'd probably know.  The largest source of repo
corruption seems (from the gestalt of bugs) to be underlying OS,
filesystem or hardware failure, and that's not very common.

Maybe macports doesn't build the extensions or installs in a
hilariously bad way.  Can someone confirm or deny?
