OK, no problem. It just shows that I haven't written to a Git
repository from a Bazaar branch.

Hummm... this may be another indirect artifact of NFS mounted filestores
-- or there is something very weird about my workstation set up.

The circumstantial evidence is that everything other than bzr-git works
in the presence of the bzr-cvs plugin on all machines. bzr-git
operations seem to work fine in the presence of bzr-cvs on machines not
employing any form of NFS. bzr-git operations fail as indicated
mentioning the bzr-cvs plugin on my workstation which has all the user
filestore mounted over NFS.

This may be a red herring.

Given the bzr-cvs plugin doesn't seem to provide any positive
functionality, at least not that I use, not having it isn't a problem.
Still the fact that its presence of absence only affects bzr-git
operations on some machines is indicative of a data coupling of some
sort between them.
