Hi Wimpie,

This sounds like the same error as in
<https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr/+bug/395556> in which case
upgrading to bzr 2.0.0 (and then re-doing the conversion) should fix
it.  Otherwise, please file a new bug and include the traceback from
.bzr.log.
