Absolutely!  With my *grandchildren* all grown up, what am I doing , staring 
at at the LCD and tapping away?

Doubt that, but I find chess useful check on my sanity (particularly the 2 12 
variety) - it is an objective test with a definitive answer.  OTH discussions 
and politics are often marred by ambiguities with obscure outcomes.
