 From a plain user (no longer newbie, not yet experimented...), I think it is a sensible 
change, as long as it is reversible (and explaining how to go back is indeed a good idea).

Beside, typing 'uncommit' is unlikely to result from a typo so users are, in general, 
aware of what they plan to do... (this sentence doesn't take in account aliases and GUIs, 
of course...)
