I am using bzr-svn from
http://people.samba.org/bzr/jelmer/bzr-svn/bzr.dev with Bazaar from
http://bazaar-vcs.org/bzr/bzr.dev and it all seems to be working fine.

I assume the check against bzr_compatible_versions doesn't happen in
this set up?

I don't know if this data helps.
