I am all for accessibility in Web design.

That said, if the front page were longer than it is, I could see the
point of the links there at the top.  But the page is really short.  A
screen reader will do quite fine with it if all of the accessibility
guidelines and requirements are followed (which I'm guessing Emma does,
I haven't torn apart the HTML, nor do I care to, really).

I still think there's a way to do it to make everyone happy --- though
the size of the page really does make it not necessary, I think.
