 +1 too, I don't think that they are necessary anyways, and I prefer
if they were removed entirely.

Also the navigation bar seems to have some extra padding at the
bottom, which makes the links look unaligned vertically (FF3.0). Again
concerning the navigation bar, I think that the color/style doesn't
look nice, or at least that's my opinion on it.

Concerning the colors again, I still think that they look washed out,
and would probably look very different from a screen to another, I
would suggest using a simpler color palette (yellow, white, gray,
black) and removing the gradients altogether.
