Unable to connect to target of bound branch BzrBranch6: Not a branch

Hi list

I recently moved a duplicate branch, that was residing at
sigrie:/home/sigrie/sigrie-stable to
sigrie:/home/sigrie/projects/sigrie. The old directory became a
symlink to ~/projects/sigrie.

Now, when trying to push remotely, I get:
bzr: ERROR: Unable to connect to target of bound branch
BzrBranch6('sftp://sigrie/~/projects/sigrie/') =>
file:///home/sigrie/projects/sigrie/: Not a branch:
"/home/sigrie/projects/sigrie/".

Locally:
$ pwd; bzr up
/home/sigrie/projects/sigrie
Tree is up to date at revision 766.

Any idea how to fix that?
