Two more points here:

I had some minor personal technical problems on returning from my
trip; they're now sorted but that's put the 1.18final back.  I'll do
it tomorrow.

Robert took over <https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr/+bug/398668> and
finished it off, so 2a is now the default.

Gary vdM pointed out this date for 2.0 will miss the Ubuntu Feature
Freeze.  If we can get 2a sufficiently good before 27th August, I'd
like to do a beta then which can give us a base for making any
bugfix-only updates that can get into Karmic without a freeze
exception.
