Perhaps I am being lucky, I have both installed and one seems to give me
the annotations on the icons in the project explorer and a context menu
entry in the project explorer and the other seems to give me an entry in
the main menu bar.  I appear to be using both with no problem!

Or maybe I just haven't hit the problem that will vaporize my entire
machine ;-)

That would be good.  The sooner the better I think.  I cannot volunteer
to progress the work, but I can test things out when they are made
available.
