Actually, I think it would be best to display a character that isn't shown all 
the time and would stand out to the user, maybe the glyph used to display 
ASCII 1 (a smiley face).  Then make it a FAQ so that users can readily search 
for it and know why it displays certain text strangely.

No, I'm not kidding.
