Hello all,
EuroPython 2009 is being held in exotic Birmingham, UK. I can
personally think of no better way to round off a week-long Python
lovefest than too hack on Bazaar *in company*. To that end, we'll be
running a Bazaar sprint at the tail end of EuroPython, running Friday
July 3rd and Saturday July 4th.
The good news is this: I won't be the only person there! Other Bazaar
developers from the UK & abroad have already signed up on the
EuroPython sprints page[1] and are keen to hack.
I've said on the page that the purpose of the sprint is "to make
Bazaar a joy to use". This is obviously fairly broad, but I think it
would be fun to spend a day or two smoothing rough edges, coming up
with cool UI tweaks and making new DVCS bling; fixing lots of little
papercut bugs, rather than designing new user interaction frameworks.
Of course, you are welcome to work on whatever pleases you.
Personally, I intend to use the time to perpetrate as many cool
Launchpad command-line hacks as I can.
If you are interested in attending, please register on the sprints
page[1]. If you have any questions, please ask me here.
cheers,
jml
