Hi,

I need your help.

Let's say I found an archive of an app I want to hack on. Name it foo.

I want to start at version 1.0. The archive is foo-1.0.tar.gz.

How do I init a repo based on that archive ? I mean, do I need to tar
xf and enter it then do the bzr init/add/commit process or is there
something more intelligent I could do ?

What's the best process I can apply here ? I guess I should init a
shared repository here but not even sure of that ;)

Note: I want to give back my changes to the project.

Any help greatly appreciated here.

Thank you very much

Xavier
