I think only Linus in an arrogant-just-to-be-arrogant mode would say
"git *has* it right", except in the meta sense of "git gives you all
the tools you need to get it right".  And I for one concede that the
jury's still out on that, as it may not be possible to "do renames
right" with only the tools provided by git as it is.
