Will re-basing support be added into Bazaar core ?

Ah, I see. Bazaar's Looms don't encounter this issue because existing commits remain immutable. Each patch managed in a loom is a *branch*, and branches aren't assumed to be immutable. Yes, it's semantic, but semantics matter in version control.
