an 8core EC2 machine in 180s
 * may look at ghost handling in get_parent_map

mbp:
 * did some reviews and small bugs
 * probably will do default-format branch or ui bugs

jam:
 * did some more tweaks to groupcompress internals, cut the
compression speed by about a third - repacking all launchpad is now
about 10m30s
 * reviewed commit using iter_changes
 * will probably work on iter_items

mwh:
 * doing more loggerhead simplification and speedups
