control directory option?

Greetings,

I wonder if it's possible/desirable to allow the control directory name to be an
option (with .bzr as default). From what I can tell, this is hardcoded in just a
few places (in bzrdir). 

Why? My company uses SharePoint as a collaboration platform, and I'd like to use
bazaar with it, but it does not allow directory names that begin with a dot.

I could probably handle the patch, but I thought I'd submit the idea for
opinions first. It seems like a reasonable option to me.
