[MERGE][#272444] UnicodeWarning can be raised when trying to commit a symlink with a unicode target.

There is a test for bug #272444 that tries to commit a symlink with a
unicode target, which currently fails, and so the test tries to raise
KnownFailure. However, in some situations it can raise a UnicodeWarning
when run under -Werror, which wasn't caught, and so caused a failure.
