Standalone merge3

Hello,

I would like to use the bzr merge3 code in a wiki, but I don't want to  
build in a dependency on all of bazaar.  There has been some talk of  
extracting the bzr merge3 code and rolling it in to the Python difflib  
package.  Before I started trying to extract the merge3 code I thought  
I would ask if anyone is already working on this so I don't reinvent  
the wheel.
