Git's "rename inference" and repository conversion

Talking about Git's ability (aka "need") to infer file-renamings, I have
a question: has anybody figured a way to use Git's heuristic (ideally
just Git's own code) when converting a CVS or Git repository to Bzr?

Our current conversion of Emacs's CVS repository to Bzr includes some
amount of branch-merge info (added half-manually), but lacks any kind of
renaming info.  Adding renaming information would be really sweet.
