Of course you can use branches and tags locally - but that will not be
reflected on the repository, so the history is lost, which was the point
I was trying to make. I still find this much better than direct
interaction with svn, I agree (as I mentioned on the python-dev ML, I
think, I use git-svn even for repositories I have commit rights to).
