I know everyone works differently but the most common operation I do
while working is committing and I find this is fast enough for me. I
never feel like I am waiting (unless I commit to a bound branch). If I
commit locally it is almost instantaneous. I think the real problem
where Bazaar has its major performance problems is with remote (or
bound) branches. If I am committing to a bound branch then this is a
pretty slow operation (it usually takes 2-3 seconds for me) but is not
long enough to interrupt my chain of thought. It usually takes longer to
build and start my application than that and I do that all the time.

But please note I would welcome any speed improvements to Bazaar. I just
think they need to be concentrated mainly on network operations and not
local operations. For most local operations Bazaar is fast enough for me.
