[ANNOUNCE] bzr-svn 0.5.0

I'm happy to finally be able to announce the release of bzr-svn 0.5.0. 

The changes since the last RC (RC2) are:

  BUG FIXES

   * Fixed two assertions that were always true. (#323305)

   * Fixed handling of round-tripped revisions in svn-upgrade. (#320113)

   * Fixed handling of password prompting with username specified.
(#275953)

   * Use most appropriate mapping when setting tags for a branch.
(#322856)

   * Fixed handling of branch roots moving. (#295416)

  FEATURES

   * Added "bzr check" on Subversion repositories that checks 
     bzr-svn metadata. (#320929)

   * Allow overriding over revision-properties on a per-branch basis.
(#319819)

   * Added --idmap-file option to svn-upgrade.

Subvertpy
---------

Please note that this release depends on the subvertpy python module;
see https://launchpad.net/subvertpy. Subvertpy is packaged in the bzr
PPA, in its own PPA. 

bzr-svn 1.0
-----------
Now that bzr-svn 0.5.0 is out, I intend to focus on further improving
performance (hopefully in 0.5.1) and working towards bzr-svn 1.0. The
main bugs I consider critical for a 1.0 release are:

 * https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr-svn/+bug/127945 (elimination of
svn-push)
 * https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr-svn/+bug/248289 (concurrent
access problems)
 * https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bzr-svn/+bug/306273 (cache access)

Packages
--------
I intend to upload bzr-svn 0.5.0 packages to Debian experimental, once
Subvertpy passes through NEW. I will also upload bzr-svn packages to the
bzr PPA.
