Progress bars look ugly and give useless info

The repetition was a bug that's fixed in current bzr.dev, or at least that's
what I thought... are you using the latest bzr.dev?  Without that bug it's
not such a radical change in appearance to the old bar, but a little more
informative, and it's starting to report network activity too.
